It's been a little while since we've heard from Oregon resident and Kill Rock Stars signing MAITA. Back with good news of a new album and a careering new single 'Honey, Have I Lost It All?', the songwriter has clearly been hard at work. Lyrically grappling with a common artistic conundrum of self-doubt, the powerful vocal melodies lead meandering guitar parts through a series of unusual chord changes and dynamic breaks as a propulsive rhythm section adds a heaviness to the otherwise light-hearted sounding track. Arriving alongside an energetic DIY video, it's full steam ahead for the arrival of MAITA's second album I Just Want To Be Wild For You (due out February 18 2022). -Holly Mullineaux
